The service called mPlati (“mPay”) makes the process of contracting an insurance policy significantly simpler for users, insurance companies and sales representatives.

 Instead of paying the first instalment in the bank, branch office or via internet banking, clients now have the possibility to pay it via their mobile phones by sending a text message immediately after contracting the insurance policy at an authorized insurance representative’s office, in case they offer this service. Velebit Osiguranje d.d. is the first insurance company in the Croatian market to offer this type of mobile payment for the first insurance policy instalment at the moment of contracting their services, from more than 160 sales representatives.

For sales representatives and end users this service is very easy and practical to use. The wp-contentlication mPlati , used by insurance companies’ sales force, creates an SMS QR code after the number of the policy has been entered by the representative. The user then pays the agreed instalment amount by sending a text message with the corresponding key word to the short number 705100 or by scanning SMS QR code which automatically fills in the content of the text prior to sending it. The key word contains five characters, a combination of numbers and letters, which has a unique link to the sales invoice, offer or insurance policy number and the agreed amount that should be paid. The client gets a payment confirmation in a text message together with all the data about the charged amount, while the sales representatives get the payment confirmation through mPlati wp-contentlication.

mPlati is a service available to all Vipnet, T-Mobile, Simpa and Bon Bon users.
